Pleasant Public Library’s
2012 Summer Reading
Programs!
The
Mount Pleasant Public
Library’s Summer Reading
Program is back! This year,
the
night is the inspiration
for our Adult, Children’s
and Teen Summer Reading
Programs.
The Children’s theme
is “Dream Big…Read”; with
the Teen theme being “Own
the Night” and the adult
theme is “Between the
Covers.”
The
programs cover all ages,
including babies, and most
of the events are family
oriented.
Registration for all
programs starts on May 14th.
Goodie bags with
calendars, book logs, rules
and a few surprises will be
given to participants when
they register.
The last day to
register for the adult
program is June 16th.
You can sign up for
children’s and teen Summer
Reading Programs till the
end.
The
children’s and teen programs
will run from June 4th
– July 31st.
The adult program
runs from June 4th
to July 7th.
A person can only
register for one program.
Books of all types,
formats and sizes are
permissible, but movies are
not.
All materials must be
checked out from the
library.
You may use books you
read to others or that
others read to you.
Our
kickoff program is Blank
Park Zoo’s “Day Dreamers”
animal presentation on June
21st at 1 p.m. in
the Civic Center 2nd
floor meeting room.
Other programs
include Pajamarama Storyhour
for K- 2nd and
ages 2 to 5 year olds,
family movie days, craft
days and the Lego Club for 3rd
– 5th grades
only.
Some family programs
will include Raptors, Night
Sky at Oakland Mills,
quilting and camping.
Teen programs include
Teen Manga Club, a Ghost
Story Writing Workshop,
Zombiepalooza and Teen
Creature Feature Movie Days.
Adult programming
will include Film Noir
screenings and a book
discussion group.

Revenue would like all taxpayers to

BOOK CLUBS

share them with others?

something to do those cold winter
nights?

you do, you might be interested in
coming to an evening book club
the
library will be starting in January
2012.
The book
club will be run by the participants
who will
choose
the books, meeting times, meeting
format, etc.

Another
new database has been added to the
library’s services.
It is the
AtoZ Databases.
This
database is composed of four
sections….
AtoZ USA;
AtoZ Maps Online; AtoZ World
Culture; AtoZ World Travel.
These
databases are available 24/7 by
clicking the resources link and can
help you plan trips, learn about
other countries, find your way
around, do homework or dream of
another location near or far.

WILBOR Login
Instructions
Click on the WILBOR
logo and then login to your library account.
Now you have a few more options:
1. You can
enter a specific title to see if it is in
WILBOR (it will say WILBOR under both the
label and the title columns). Click on
the title you want and then you can click on
"download". This will take you
directly to the WILBOR title and you can add
it to your list. You are automatically
logged in on the WILBOR site!
2. You can
enter "WILBOR" in the search box and this
will load the entire WILBOR library!
Follow the same instructions as above for
downloading.
3. You can
scroll to the bottom of the search screen
(it is the large interior box) and click on
the WILBOR logo. It will take you to
the WILBOR site where you are automatically
logged in and you can search like you did
before (by genre, new arrivals, collections,
etc.).
